Gaming Headlines: 3/04/10

Socom 4 and other PS3 news is big today, but I can’t help but want to ignore all the news and go play some more Just Cause 2 demo!  If you find any of these stories interesting, let me know what you think in our comments section

1. The newest episode of GameTrailers has come out and the surprise Sony sequel is… Socom 4! This is a bit surprising since most assumed a PS3 Socom would never materialize due to MAG. (GameTrailers)
2. Speaking of Sony, there’s a rumor that Killzone 3 will be out this year, will be in 3D, and use the Arc controller (motion controller). (CVG)
3. Snowboarding is not enough! Ubisoft will be releasing Shaun White Skateboarding later this year. (Destructoid)
4. Infinity Ward’s founders sue Activision for unpaid bonuses and for control over “Modern Warfare-branded games”. (Kotaku)
5. Rock Band Network has launched with over 100 songs and more songs daily! Currently the songs are only on Xbox 360, but if you have Rock Band 2 on that console, go check it out! (Rock Band)
6. Shank and DeathSpank will be comign to PSN & XBLA from EA Partners publishing program. (Destructoid)
7. Rumors point to Square-Enix disbanding their internal music staff. (SEMO)
8. Lara Croft’s next title won’t be Tomb Raider related (well in name anyway). Lara Croft And The Guardian of Light will be a downloadable only reboot of the series. (Destructoid)
9. The only place you’ll be able to get NHL 2K11 is on the Wii. Visual Concepts is taking a year off of PS3 & 360 versions, so they can have extra dev time to improve the quality of the franchise.  (Kotaku)
10. The Just Cause 2 Demo is now out on PC, PS3 & 360. I’ve played it and it’s a ton of fun. Now if only I could turn off that demo timer!
11. Those Just Cause 2 developers Avalanche are hard at work on a new game. They can’t say what the title is, other than it won’t be a puzzle game. (incgames)
12. Info on the first Modern Warfare 2 DLC has leaked. Go to Tech Game to see footage. (TechGame)
13. Grand Theft Auto IV has sold over 15 million units worldwide. (Magic Box)
14. A South Korean couple’s child died due to neglect, meanwhile they were caring for a virtual child in an online game at a internet cafe. (ABC)
