Gears of War move hits a snag, USB memory hits the 360 and nudity hits DOA Paradise! If you find any of these stories interesting, let me know what you think in our comments section

  1. The LA Times reports that the Gears of War movie has lost it’s director, been scaled back in terms of plot (with rewrites needed) and had it’s budget cut. Certainly not a good sign! Why can’t Hollywood understand that if they made a game movie well it’d blow up the box office? (LA Times)
  2. You can now use USB memory storage of up to 16 Gigs on your Xbox 360. This may be a good temporary solution for those who don’t have the cash for a new 360 Hard Drive. (Major Nelson)
  3. Sakaguchi has defended Mistwalker’s latest RPG The Last Story by stating that it isn’t a Final Fantasy Rehash. I’m not sure it’s a bad thing to be compared to Final Fantasy either way. (andriasang)
  4. Hori is releasing an 11.6 inch, 1366×768 resolution HD screen that connects onto the PS3 Slim. These sort of screens have been released for consoles at least since the PSOne. I don’t travel enough for this to make sense for me, but if I did, it would certainly be a cool option. (CNET)
  5. If you pre-order Splinter Cell: Conviction, not only will you get an in-game shotgun, but you’ll more importantly gain access to the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier multiplayer beta! I liked what I played of the Conviction demo that’s currently on Live, so I’ll definitely play this one. (Gamestop)
  6. Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online has hit the web from EA. It’s a web browser based Tiger Woods title that has micro-transactions and subscription options for those that want more courses and content. (Destructoid)
  7. Record of Agarest War has a release date! The sexy SRPG will be hitting store for 360 and PSN for PS3 the week of April 27. I need to get the 360 version of this game since it comes with typically Japanese exclusive naughty extras. (Siliconera)
  8. War for Cybertron will be released for Wii after all. The Wii version of the Transformers game will be called Transformers: Cybertron Adventures. No idea of what differences the Wii version will have. (Destructoid)
  9. Game trademark news ahoy! EA has trademarked Pirates Ahoy, SCEA has trademarked Until Dawn, Konami TMed something called Adrenaline Misfits. I don’t know what any of those titles are, but I do know this one: NCSoft trademarked City of Heroes 2. (superannuation)
  10. Infinity Ward has lost lead designer Todd Alderman and lead engineer Francesco Gigliotti. Did the two quit because of the ejecting of Infinity Ward’s founders? There’s no confirmation, but it certainly seems likely. (Kotaku)
  11. The Bioware Bazaar is in effect and you can bid on exclusive Bioware goods using points you get from buying Bioware products. (Bioware Social Network)
  12. Speaking of Bioware, Kasumi’s Stolen Memory has been delayed. What is that? Well it’s the latest Mass Effect DLC. As soon as server issues are resolved the DLC should be released. (IGN)
  13. World of Warcraft’s recruit a friend program continues with a new rocket mount. I wish other games gave me free stuff for pressuring my friends into playing it! (Destructoid)

Dead or Alive Paradise has gotten a nudity hack! Not sure if this image was censored, or if they really don’t have nipples, but if I was single, I’d still date Ayane even with her troubling missing nipple issue.  (Kotaku)
